Do I get an individual website or a group practice website?

Answer: A website can be created for a group practice with separate pages and customized options for physicians within the practice. Individual physicians will have their own web address with their own personal web pages to provide their own material.

How much do your websites cost?

Answer: Each website is unique, and we will provide a quote based on your specific needs.

How long does it take to build my website? Do I get to review my site prior to completion?

Answer: Once we understand your design parameters, we will then create a custom template or shell design of your web page. It takes 10 days for this initial design. It will be posted online as a demo for you to review. We'll discuss revisions, additions and modifications to the design at this point. Once the template design meets your approval, we then move on to the construction phase of the project. Your design template, which was initially created as a single image, is now converted into HTML code. It would then take 3-5 days to launch the completed site.

Can I / we select our own web address?

Answer: Yes, you can select your own web address subject to a few rules and conditions that we go over with you. However, you web address is subject to availability. In the event your web address is not available, we will provide you with a list of choices that will meet your needs.

Do you handle the entire domain registration process?

Answer: Yes. As you know, the web address you choose must be registered for your business name. We will register your address with search engines so that new patients can find you on the Internet. However, you will be required to supply your ACN, RBN or ABN, which we will request during the registration process. If you do not have an ABN, you will need to apply for one, which we can help you with. It takes a few days to get your ABN, but you can continue your registration with us while itís pending. NOTE: we cannot submit your registration until we have your ABN number.

Is there a difference between .com, .net, and .org?

Answer: The most familiar are .com (commercial entities, such as companies), .net (network administration), and .org (usually used for non-profit organizations and institutions).

How long does it take to get a Web address after I sign up?

Answer: We submit your Web address (domain name) application immediately. You are notified by e-mail if your application is completed. This generally takes fewer than 24 hours, but can take up to 5 business days if there is a problem with your registration.

Once my Web address is registered, do I need to renew it?

Answer: Your registration is good for one (1) year. Near the end of the registration period, we will ask if you want to renew it. If you no longer want the address, you may choose not to renew. The same applies to the website.

Website updates & maintenance

How often can I update my website?

Answer: As often as you like! The more you do, it the better. Medical science is changes rapidly so itís important to keep up with the changes. We can provide professional training and assistance for this.

I have an e-mail account with another provider. How do I move my e-mail messages to my new email address?

Answer: We can help you transfer e-mails from your old account to your new e-mail account.

My practice already has a website. Do I need to update it?

Answer: Yes, if your site was built a few years back, does not look modern or needs updated content. It could also be that you paying too much for hosting. Also, perhaps your site needs updated keywords and optimization for search engines. If you are unsure whether or not to update your website, contact us and we will provide a free analysis and useful recommendations.

Who owns my website?

Answer: We provide site owners with the source code and HTML files of their website. Your site belongs to you to manage and update.
