  Intranet

The module is used for search of employees, displaying staff changes, absence chart, promote honored employees or a reminder of birthdays. All features can be integrated into a single calendar that supports coordinating events of different priority.

The Intranet module supports two-way synchronization with Microsoft Outlook. You can import data from the Intranet Portal (personal or workgroup calendars, business contacts, tasks, etc.) into MS Outlook, and synchronize all events, avoid any discrepancies between the calendars and schedulers. The module meets all MS Outlook synchronization requirements and standards set by Microsoft.

With the employee search, you will only need to type the first two or three letters of the first or last name of the person you're looking for, and a full list containing theses letters will appear in the results. The search mechanism is so easy you won't even have to type a single key. With only a couple of mouse clicks you can find the person you're looking for on your Intranet Portal.

Bitrix Intranet Portal includes a section called "Company" where you can include information about the company's executives, the mission of the company or present the details of its structure and development strategies. You can also create photo or multimedia galleries accessible to all employees, to add value to the corporate culture of your company and strengthen awareness of your corporate identity.

The Absence Chart displays information on absent employees. The chart displays information in different colors, to indicate sick leave, business trip, etc. You can choose a certain date to be displayed, browse through all the employee entries, or choose only one department or company subdivision to be shown.

The Staff Change page displays what kind of staff changes have taken place in the company. You can choose a particular department or subdivision to see the latest staff changes.

Bitrix Intranet Portal includes also a special section where employees can be recognized among their colleagues for their work and achievements. It is motivating and can help create friendly competition between departments or employees. The Bitrix Intranet Portal will also remind you of upcoming birthdays in the company.

The Meeting Room Booking tool helps you book a conference room or an office space for events. It can help you avoid double booking of a room. You can also include a request for meeting preparation, add additional information, set the user group permission for booking, etc.

This module is designed for staged processing of static pages and dynamic parts of the site. Permissions to access information can be relayed according to the employees' roles.   AD/LDAP

The Active Directory/LDAP Connector allows for simple integration of Bitrix Site Manager into corporate portals. It integrates the Bitrix Site Manager in the corporate network and provides centralized management of work groups inside the corporate information system.

The module is available in all Bitrix Site Manager 8.5 editions.

The Bitrix benchmarking system is a set of values obtained from tests performed using Bitrix Virtual Appliance VMware Edition, which enables an optimal environment for Bitrix products. The Bitrix Virtual Appliance VMware Edition may be downloaded for free. The Performance Panel makes it possible can test web project performance and compare the results with the benchmark data. Recommendations on configuration are provided with the analysis based on Bitrix benchmarks, as well as a list of web pages that have the lowest performance results.

The module includes support for memcached, disk cache, APC, eAccelerator and Zend. The cache storage can be selected in the Performance Monitor settings.

This module compresses pages before they are sent to a client to enable faster reception. The module reduces the size of transferred pages, which significantly increases the speed both for visitors and site administrators.

It supplements and extends the corporate business environment, provides a space for people who are not inside the company (i.e., partners, clients, advisors, contractors) but that take active part in business processes and are in constant contact with employees.

This module is a secure business platform for you and your colleagues to contact the "outside world". It’s a common space for collaboration and communication between employees and other persons who work with your company. With this module, you and your partners, suppliers or clients will be able to handle common daily tasks faster, discuss projects in groups, exchange and organize information, etc. And it will not interfere with the tasks and issues inside your company's Intranet Portal, which is inaccessible from the outside.


  Business Processes/Business Processes Designer

The Business Processes module allows you to create, perform and manage information flows. It provides increased information management capacity than Workflow.

A Business Process is the flow of information, or documents, through a defined path or project. A business process can define:

  • Entry and exit points

  • Sequence of actions, steps, stages or functions to be completed in an assigned order or under certain conditions

This module provides an interface to create and edit business processes. The editor is easy enough that a regular business user would be able to handle many functions. It is a simple drag and drop block creator. A business process author can specify steps and sequence in the process and highlight the details of the process using simple visual schemes. The business process template defines the specific information flow, comprised of a set of actions. An action can involve creating a document, sending an e-mail message or making a database record.

The Workflow module enables step-by-step processing of static or dynamic pages and information. It is included in all the product editions.

The Business Processes module provides simple, step-by-step information block element processing in addition to variable or status-driven processes. It is included as Typical Processes module in junior editions. The full version, which provides tools to create new processes, is included in Bitrix Intranet Portal: Enterprise Edition.


  Site Controller

This tool helps you manage several web resources simultaneously and lets you synchronize data flows between websites. It enables complete integration of your corporate portal with websites or other intranets. Using this tool, you can organize the flow of information from your portal to and from other websites. Along with the Business Processes module, this module creates an intelligent business platform for building a multi-portal system that has both Intranet and Extranet solutions in one product.
