Local and Network Document Management

Document management can be handled in multiple ways, allowing for files to be stored locally on the machine running Bitrix24 or at a remote file storage location which is typical of enterprise-class users. Additionally, document libraries can be configured to display and manage file structures from existing storage locations for a seamless transition to storing your files in a central location.

User Permissions

Bitrix24’s robust user permissions system can be applied to the portal’s document management system to help control the flow of information from one user to another. This includes the ability to restrict read and write access at the document library level, with the option to further refine permissions for individual files or folders.

Document Editing and Version Control

Bitrix24’s document management system allows users to lock files for editing via Microsoft Office, Corel OpenOffice, and Google Docs. The included versioning control tool stores previous versions of documents, making it possible to rollback and restore each one to a previous state when necessary.
